It's called Bellum Somniorum (Latin for "War of Dreams"). Here's the plot:
A year ago Robert Fischer left his father’s business behind to pursue his own dreams, but the late Maurice Fischer’s business was not broken up as had been planned. Robert left it in more capable hands. Peter Browning is now owner and CEO of Fischer Morrow, and the company has been fairly quiet and ceased growth since his takeover.
Or so it seemed.
Peter Browning has just announced that Fischer Morrow has found the next advancement that will improve people’s lives, and it comes hand in hand with another rumor, a much darker one. Though it is only whispers, it has reached the ears of Dom and the rest of his team who had departed after the Fischer job and have been busy pursuing their own goals. It has nothing to do with inception and all about crime and nightmares. Another team of dream extractors is rumored to be hi-jacking minds, but they aren’t silent by any means. Ruthless, determined, and cruel they practice absolute disregard for their victims. They find information and in the process take no care to leave a mind undistressed. Labeled “Nightmare Inducers”, they are a threat to the reputation of all people involved in dream extraction, past and present.
The concept of dream warfare has always been a possibility, and with the existence of one faction willing to follow such means the possible creation of more such teams promises to throw the world into a tilt. Countries, Guerilla factions, anyone and everyone could be drawn into a battle that will go beyond the existence of reality and enter into a world where anything is possible.
What isn’t known, however, is that Browning’s new advancement and the Nightmare Inducers are related. They are his personal army and he has been using them to steal ideas, frighten competition, and consolidate his own power. He is a danger and must be stopped.
Dom, his team, Mr. Saito, and even their once target Robert Fischer are about be drawn into the fray and perhaps even into a war. They must try at all costs to contain the situation and the Nightmare Inducers, or the consequences could be even more deadly.
It all began with a half-remembered dream, and a year after the faithful event, it appears a dream may be the world’s only saving grace.
